For an electrical capacity of 1 MW only 0.8 litres Acinor 1000 are needed per day.

Dr. Friedmann experimented with micronutrients as early as 1989, while doing research work on the anaerobic digestion of waste water from the baker’s yeast production process. Once it was realized that the micronutrients need to be “visible” to the methane bacteria, notable successes were achieved.

The fact that the use of micronutrients will bring about considerable gains in efficiency also in agricultural biogas plants was not realized until 2006 and 2007. So-called dry fermentation plants at first made exclusive use of silage as a substrate. This gave rise to biological problems, which were easily remedied though by appropriate micronutrients.

Micronutrients are firmly established in all state-of-the-art biogas plants today. Efficiency stands to gain from the addition of micronutrients even in the case of pure liquid manure digestion. To minimize the effort and cost involved, a formulation ensuring optimum bio-availability of the micronutrients is indispensable.

Analysis of the Supply with Micronutrients in Biogas Plants – Expensive and Useless?

The analysis of the micronutrient concentrations in the digester supplies no usable information about the level of supply of the digester biology. These costs can be saved. The use of individual mixtures makes no sense, as the level of supply cannot be sensefully detected. A safe micronutrient supply of the digester biology is only possible by the correct addition of a defined product adjusted to the growth of the bacteria population.

My Story With the Use of Micronutrients in Biogas Plants

We develop and pursue the use of micronutrients or essential trace elements since over 25 years. The experience shows, that micronutrients as Acinor 1000 lead to an improvement of the process stability in all plant types, also with the use of liquid manure. High loading rates are only feasible with the addition of micronutrients.
